Does Windows7 VPN client supports preshared key authentication? OR Windows7 use only certificate authentication?

Hi, Based on my research, the preshared key for authentication is supported but it is not recommended to use since it is not secure. For more information, please refer to the link below: Dialog Box - VPN Advanced Properties Thanks, Novak

Hello, I'm interested by this question. That link is related to the Win2008 RRAS config. Where should I configure the Agilevpn client in order to authenticate the vpn gateway via Pre-Shared-Key. Thanks for your help!Olivier

Last night, I was re-reading the IKEV2 RFC http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4306#page-84 Using PSK has no sense..... An implementation using EAP MUST also use a public-key-based authentication of the server to the client before the EAP exchange begins, even if the EAP method offers mutual authentication. This avoids having additional IKEv2 protocol variations and protects the EAP data from active attackers. Olivier
